About Owen Zammit


Owen Zammit is a Toronto-based jazz drummer who is also a dynamic band leader and talented composer. As a recent graduate of York University, Owen has adeptly balanced his academic pursuits with his passion for music, performing at local clubs while attaining his degree in jazz performance.
While at York University, Owen discovered his love for the music of Oscar Petersen, Kieth Jarret & Chick Corea. Owen’s musical collaborations with his fellow students, guided by the mentorship of Canadian music giants like Lorne Lofsky and Julio Cortes, have helped shape his musical vision and inform his approach to performance.

Owen Zammit Quartet

The Owen Zammit Quartet is a traditional jazz band that primarily performs standards from jazz legends. We have a particular affinity for the music of Jim Hall and Oscar Petersen. The band consists of piano, guitar, bass, and drums.

Paul Jones & the Gold Tones

Paul Jones and The Gold Tones is an up-and-coming traditional country band with some bluegrass influences. The band is comprised of 2 guitars, vocals, pedal steel, bass and drums. We are currently breaking into the country scene in Toronto and enjoying every minute of it.

Russel Molina Quartet

The Russel Molina Quartet is a multifaceted quartet that plays jazz, rnb, and funk fusion. The band consists of York University students and alumni featuring, bass, guitar, keys, and drums. Russel Molina is an excellent band leader and friend.
